'Sound of Music' Film Cast to be Together Again on 'Oprah,' 10/29September 27, 2010The New York Times is reporting that on October 29, 2010, Oprah will host the cast of the 1965 film version of The Sound of Music. According to the report, the entire cast will appear on the program, which will feature a performance by the real-life von Trapp family singers. Andrews will not perform on the show.
Zach Grenier to Reprise Role in 33 VARIATIONS at Ahmanson in 2011September 27, 2010Zach Grenier will reprise his Tony Award-nominated role in '33 Variations' at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre, joining two-time Academy Award-winner Jane Fonda who stars in the compelling new play written and directed by Moisés Kaufman. The West Coast premiere of '33 Variations' will be presented January 30 through March 6, 2011. Opening is set for February 9.
Both Grenier and Fonda will perform the roles they played in the 2009 Broadway run of '33 Variations.' The play was nominated for a total of five Tony Awards, including Best Actress for Fonda and Best Featured Actor for Grenier.
