Jessica Lewis Jessica has worked in theater for nearly ten years. She has worked in theatrical production for the producers of STOMP, DAMN YANKEES, NUNSENSE, DINNER WITH FRIENDS and more, and for over 5 years has been involved in the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise, having discovered the production at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She has since helped foster its growth through multiple large-scale workshops and two major commercial productions as an Associate Producer. After dedicating many years to theatrical and live entertainment production work that has taken her all over the world in 2009 she assumed the post of Senior Managing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net, for which she controls operations, routinely interviews Broadway's A-list talent and films/edits a bulk of the sites popular BWW TV content. She is a graduate of Brown University and has worked professionally in production for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, Rights and Reasons Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop and more.

The Roundabout Theatre Company continues its tradition of providing some of the best theater in New York City with their 2010/2011 Winter/Spring offerings. Brief Encounter, which opened this fall continues on Broadway at Studio 54. Tony winner Brian Bedford gets in touch with his feminine alter-ego in The Importance Of Being Earnest, which begins performances at the American Airlines Theater this December. Olympia Dukakis will lead a special production of Tennessee Williams' The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore at the Harold and Miram Steinberg Center for Theatre in the Laura Pels Theatre in January. Anything Goes, starring Broadway darling Sutton Foster, sails into the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in March. Finally, Donna Murphy stars in the new musical, The People In The Picture, which will follow The Importance Of Being Earnest at the American Airlines Theatre in April.

The Tony Award-winning stars Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane will serve as Masters of Ceremonies when the Vineyard Theatre honors the five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman at the company's annual gala to benefit the non-profit theatre company on Monday, February 28 at 6:00pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44 St.) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard Theatre.

It was announced today by John Gore, Founder, CEO and owner of privately-held Key Brand Entertainment Inc, that his company has completed the acquisition of Broadway.com from Hollywood Media Corp. (NASDAQ: HOLL). Key Brand previously acquired Broadway Across America from Live Nation in 2008. With this acquisition, Key Brand, in which Gore is the largest shareholder, now owns 100% of Broadway.com's outstanding stock.

Dramatics Magazine recently released the results from their annual survey of the most-produced plays and musicals in North American high schools. #1 on the list of plays was ALMOST, MAINE by John Cariani, beating out such stalwart titles as A Midsummer Night's Dream and Our Town.

Talk show host Jerry Springer will substitute for David Hasselhoff as Captain Hook in the UK's New Wimbledon Theatre's panto production of Peter Pan, from December 31 - January 8 as well as January 13-14. Hasselhoff has begun previews of the show and will continue with the production through December 30, and return for performances January 8-12 and January 15-16.

Wanda Sykes is currently leading the Media Theatre's production of ANNIE as 'Miss Hannigan' - the iconic child-hating orphanage director with an affinity for alcoholic beverages - this holiday season. Sykes opened the production on November 23 and had been scheduled to close the production on January 16, 2011 following a Christmas absence. Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook, which explores the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic songwriting, will bring to the stage some of today's most gifted interpreters of song. Week Two starts on January 26th with a tribute to arguably the greatest songwriting team in American Songbook history: the brothers George and Ira Gershwin. Conductor, arranger and pianist (as well as Artistic Director of the Gershwin centenary) Rob Fisher will lead Victoria Clark (Tony winner for Light in the Piazza) and Norm Lewis (Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid) in a night of gorgeous Gershwin. On January 27th singer/songwriter Shara Worden (from the group My Brightest Diamond) performs her unique blend of vocal music that has her pegged as a star to watch. Week Two closes out with gritty veteran John Doe singing 'real' country, with all its understated empathy and rough poetry. Pfizer is a proud sponsor of Lincoln Center's American Songbook 2011.

With the playwright at their side on stage at the Golden Theatre, producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, will extend its Broadway premiere engagement through April 9, 2011, making it the only play this season that will be running into the spring. The play's three acclaimed stars, Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones, Vanessa Redgrave and Boyd Gaines, will all remain with the production. Directed by David Esbjornson, Driving Miss Daisy opened on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) on October 25, 2010, where it has since broken all house records. The production was previously scheduled to run through January 29, 2011.

Deadline.com reports today that Mandy Patinkin will team up with Claire Danes for a new Showtime drama series, Homeland. According to the report: 'Homeland centers on American POW Scott Brody, who returns home 10 years after going missing in Iraq, and Carrie Anderson (Danes), a driven CIA officer who suspects he might be plotting an attack on America. Patinkin will play the smart and politically savvy CIA Division Chief emeritus Saul Berenson who is Carrie's main champion in the intelligence upper echelon and her sounding board.'

DanceOn sat down with Daniel Ezralow, the choreographer and aerial choreographer of the big-budget musical, to discuss the process of mounting this large-scale production.
