Howard Sherman, Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing since 2003, today informed the organization that he will not renew his employment agreement beyond its current term, ending on June 30, 2011. The announcement came at a regularly scheduled meeting of the American Theatre Wing's Board of Trustees earlier today.

In a feature out in the Washington Post today, musical legend Jerry Herman reveals that a Broadway revival of his classic, Hello, Dolly! is on the way. According to the report, 'A revival of 'Hello, Dolly!' will hit Broadway in the near future, says Herman, who plans to be the production's guiding spirit.'

The New York Times is reporting that Katie Holmes may have her sights set on a Broadway return in the near future with William Mastrosimone's Extremities. Holmes has reportedly been tapped to play the role of a woman who 'turns the tables' on her attempted rapist and must decide how to handle the situation.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has announced that its 2010 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1 million dollars, marking the largest single donation in BC/EFA history. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA.

Due to a faulty break, Jackman crashed into a rigging pole, hitting his eye. He is said to be not seriously injured and continued taping the segment after the accident. Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas, a new holiday production starring America's favorite sibling entertainers, has extended for two performances, now ending on January 2, 2010. The production had been once extended through December 30, 2010. Productions on December 31 and January 2nd have now been added due to demand.

Cheyenne Jackson, star of NBC's '30 Rock' and Fox's GLEE makes his Miami debut to welcome 2011 on December 31 and January 1 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Jackson will debut his new one-man show, All I Know. His act will be followed by concerts performed by Karen Olivo on January 14 and January 15, Gavin Creel on January 21 and January 22, and Bryan Batt on February 4 and 5.

BroadwayWorld has been hearing that SPIDER MAN's Natalie Mendoza, who has been out of the show since December 2 due to a concussion she received during the first preview, could be out of the show for as long as another week. A spokesperson for the production stated that Mendoza 'would be going back into the production very soon,' in response. Reportedly, Mendoza underwent medical testing this week.

Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed that she will once again slip into the shoes of Holly Holiday on GLEE in upcoming episodes. She would not confirm when she would be making her return cameo or whether the role would be recurring.
