Zarkana, the surreal acrobatic spectacle by Cirque du Soleil, has returned to New York at the legendary Radio City Music Hall for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 2 only. Performances began June 6. This week, BroadwayWorld was invited to Radio City for an exclusive backstage tour with the cast and creative team. In our journey, we ventured through the underbelly of the orchestra pit, into arial training central, the depths of the wardobe closet, ladies dressing area and back, catching along the way sand painter extraordinaire Erica Chan, juggling sensation Maria Choodu, wardrobe wizard Randy Handley - keeper of over 1300 Zarkana costumes! - and 'mad swan' Dany Rabello for a complete pre-show experience.

Currently onstage at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis is the period musical spectacular Roman Holiday. Based on the iconic film, the show features the music of Cole Porter, including hits like 'Easy to Love,' 'Begin the Beguine,' 'Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye' and 'Riding High', in addition to rarely heard gems that fit perfectly into the story. The production began preview performances on June 9 and opens tonight, June 15. The run is scheduled to continue through August 19 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage. End of the Rainbow starring two-time Olivier Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Tracie Bennett as Judy Garland, has put a new block of tickets on sale through January 6, 2013. The production is directed by Tony Award-winner Terry Johnson, and festuring music by Peter Quilter.

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark celebrated its one-year anniversary on Broadway yesterday, June 14, 2012. Embarking on its second year on Broadway, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark began preview performances on November 28, 2010, and officially opened on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.

Atlantic Theater Company opened the world premiere production of STOREFRONT CHURCH, written and directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winner John Patrick Shanley, on Monday night, June 11 at the Linda Gross Theater. The production will run through July 1, 2012.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced today the full cast and creative teams for the first two productions of the 2012 season: The Importance of Being Earnest and the World Premiere of The Blue Deep. The Importance of Being Earnest will be presented on the Main Stage from June 26 through July 14 (opening June 28) and The Blue Deep will grace the Nikos Stage from June 27 through July 8 (opening June 28). Both casts arrived in Williamstown today for their first rehearsals on the bucolic Williams College campus in preparation for the runs of these exciting and unique productions at the Festival.
