Last night was the first night party for Michael Frayn's Here at Rose Theatre Kingston. In attendance were the cast (Alison Steadman, Zawe Ashton and Alex Beckett) and guests including Philip Glenister, Michael Frayn and Jacqueline Wilson. Check out the photographs below.

The Old Vic will bring the critically acclaimed Sheffield Theatres' production of Michael Frayn's cold-war drama Democracy to London with previews from 15 June and press night on 20 June. Associate Director of Sheffield Theatres Paul Miller directs.

Premiering at the Magnet Theater on May 4th, GAY BOMB: THE MUSICAL! is a satirical romp inspired by the real-life plans of the U.S. military to build a bomb that turns enemy armies gay.

The Jeff Awards today announced 124 nominations in 25 categories for Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2011, and March 31, 2012. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff Awards judges covered opening nights of 154 productions offered by 71 Non-Equity producing organizations. The judges recommended 64 of those shows, making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Thirty-two theatre companies received nominations.

The founding members of The Beach Boys, one of the world's most legendary bands in popular music history, have reunited for a global 50th Anniversary celebration, including a new album release, a major international tour, and commemorative catalog releases. Today, The Beach Boys announce details about their new studio album, That's Why God Made The Radio, to be released June 5 by Capitol/EMI.

After two years of dedicated research and development, Digital Theatre in partnership with Routledge have announced the launch in the coming academic year of The Routledge Performance Archive - an international performing arts archive of video and text for educational institutions around the world. The Routledge/Digtital Theatre Partnership will provide access to an archive of primary materials by some of the world's greatest practitioners, for the teaching and study of performance.

Blue Apple Theatre and writer William Jessop re-invent Shakespeare's HAMLET in a fresh and powerful adaptation using Shakespeare's original language. The producers of the upcoming West End production LET IT BE are looking for talented musicians to play the parts of PAUL, JOHN, GEORGE & RINGO in the show, from September 2012. Open auditions will be held at the Cavern Club in Liverpool on Tuesday 1 May, and at the Gielgud Theatre in London on Tuesday 8 May. The Cavern Club was home to many of The Beatles' early performances.

United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, annually recognizes theatre artists for popularizing the form of the one-person show. History Theatre has announced its 35th season, which will kick-off with the Minnesota premiere of the Broadway hit Lombardi by Eric Simonson. The show will feature Jim Detmar as Vince Lombardi and Norah Long as Marie Lombardi, and promises to be a funny and passionate look at an American icon. History Theatre will celebrate the holiday season with the return of Christmas of Swing featuring the talents of Ruthie Baker, Patty Nieman, and Stacy Lindell as Patty, LaVerne, and Maxine - The Andrews Sisters.
