For one week from April 24 to April 30, the Cantare division of the Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) will be one of only six of the world's children's choirs invited to participate in the Adolf Fredrik Let the Future Sing 2012 International Children's and Youth Choir Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. Led by YPC Associate Conductor Elizabeth Núñez, YPC is the first American choir ever invited to take part in this prestigious festival.

Mike Eldred, renowned vocalist known for his appearances on Broadway as "Jean Valjean" in Les Miserables, his performance as "Tony" in the Nashville Symphony's recording of West Side Story on NAXOS Records, and starring in the national touring production of The Civil War, has been invited by Desmond Child and Marcus Hummon to star in their fundraiser production of Broadway Babies! The Broadway Songbooks of Desmond Child & Marcus Hummon in Nashville on April 11th. The sold-out evening will benefit Thistle Farms, a social enterprise run by women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, addiction, and life on the streets. The production also features Kim Bretton, Nick Duckart, Tabitha Fair, Michelle Nicolo Prentice and Chris Roberts.

ABC Studios announces the May/June DVD debut of four new TV series on DVD, just weeks after their season one finales on ABC-TV. The spring releases begin May 22 with the DVD debut of the paranormal thriller "The River." The network's hilarious "GCB" struts its stuff to DVD on June 12, and both the explosive thriller "Scandal" and the mystery-suspense sensation "Missing" head home to DVD, also on June 12.

Now in the midst of a record-breaking year, Lantern Theater Company announces the productions scheduled for its 2012/13 season. The Lantern opens its 19th season with a remount of David Ives' New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656, the best-selling play in the company's history and featuring the original cast and creative team from the original 2011 production. This limited return engagement is followed by the Philadelphia premiere of The Liar, also by Ives, a sophisticated comedy of lies and love adapted from the French play by Pierre Corneille. Mid-season, the Lantern completes Martin McDonagh's Leenane Trilogy (A Skull in Connemara, The Lonesome West) with the darkly comic The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Lantern Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct both The Liar and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. In the spring, Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon directs Henry V, William Shakespeare's epic journey through royal courts and battlefields. The season concludes with Heroes, a playful, bawdy, and heartbreakingly funny comedy by Tom Stoppard, adapted from Gerald Sibleyras' Le Vent De Peupliers and directed by Lantern affiliated artist M. Craig Getting.
