CAPTURE NOW, a new play by Josh Jonas, will be given its world premiere Off-Broadway this fall, beginning previews October 10 prior to opening October 22 at The Theatres at 45 Bleecker Street (45 Bleecker Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by the play's producers Kurt Peterson and Jane Bergere. Tickets are on sale now.

It has been confirmed that Joan Rivers has cancelled the return season of her one-woman show Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress in Leicester Square Theatre. The show, which ran at the theater from August 29th through September 18th 2008 was scheduled to return on December 2nd where it would run through January 29th, 2009.

On Friday, October 24, 2008 La Jolla Playhouse hosts Moon over Morocco, a gala benefit featuring the Tony-nominated star of Xanadu on Broadway, Kerry Butler. The annual gala will take place in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre at La Jolla Playhouse.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin previews for the New York premiere of Mike Daisey's IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING on Wednesday, October 15. Steppenwolf Theatre Company launches its Steppenwolf for Young Adults 2008-2009 Season with The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov. The production, featuring James T. Alfred, Shanesia Davis, Anthony Fleming III and Nambi E. Kelley, runs October 21 - November 9, 2008 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted.

The New Group presents the U.S. premiere of Kevin Elyot's Mouth to Mouth directed by Mark Brokaw as the first production in its 2008-2009 season. Slated for a limited Off-Broadway engagement from October 21 - December 27, this production features New Group artist David Cale, Lisa Emery and Elizabeth Jasicki. TV New Zealand is reporting that theater and pop star Rob Guest has died of a stroke. The actor was admittied late Tuesday where he remained in critical condition. The actor's family state that he died peacefully overnight while in the Intensive Care Unit.
