What's On Stage is reporting that prior that "I'd Do Anything" winner Jodie Pregner is currently in rehearsals to join the West End cast of Les Miserables. She will be taking small parts of the ensemble starting on August 26th prior to taking on the role of Nancy in Drury Lane's Oliver!. Pregner won the role in the reality competition and is reportedly taking on the role Les Mis for more experience before she steps up to her prize role.

Cameron Makintosh released a statement saying, “Since winning the BBC show I’d Do Anything, Jodie has been working hard to build upon the training she underwent during the programme. Cameron Mackintosh has already arranged for Jodie to attend the summer school at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and has given her the opportunity to join the company of Les Miserables as part of the ensemble, so she can experience what it is like to be regularly performing in a West End musical environment. Jodie has jumped at the chance of gaining experience before she starts rehearsals for Oliver! in November. Jodie will only perform a variety of small characters in the ensemble of Les Miserables but not any principal or featured roles. The similar 19th-century backdrop of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables is the ideal low-key environment for Jodie to prepare herself for Dickens and Lionel Bart’s Oliver! this December at Drury Lane.”
