DRIVING MISS DAISY Screening to be Shown Following 'Monday Nights with Oscar' 12/13December 7, 2010The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 'Monday Nights with Oscar' will close the year with a screening of 'Driving Miss Daisy' (1989), on Monday, December 13, at 7 p.m. at the Academy Theater at Lighthouse International in New York City. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Alfred Uhry, who received an Adapted Screenplay Oscar for 'Driving Miss Daisy,' will join the film's director, two-time Academy Award nominee Bruce Beresford, in an onstage discussion about the original play's journey from Off-Broadway hit to Best Picture-winning film. The play's current revival marks its Broadway debut.

For the week ending November 28th, the musical grossed $1,986,319 making it the highest-grossing week for a touring Broadway show in Canadian history.
