The Howard County Arts Council announces the opening on January 14, 2011 of two new exhibits in the galleries at the Howard County Center for the Arts Gallery I will showcase three Maryland artists who have used light as a subject matter. The exhibit, entitled Source, features a video installation by Symmes Gardner, selfilluminated light totems and wall sculptures by Melissa Burley, and stunningly simple black & white photography by Lynn Silverman. In Gallery II, small and meticulous is the theme in Fastidious Studies with embroidery pieces by Catonsville artist Suzanne Herbert-Forton, photography by Maryland artist Anne Chan, and sculpture by North Dakota artist Donovan Widmer.

Canadian Stage today announced The Company Theatre (A Whistle in the Dark, Festen, Through the Leaves) as the newest collaborators in The Berkeley Street Project, an ongoing partnership initiative that profiles Toronto's independent theatre community while presenting vibrant, contemporary theatre in the city.
