The Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup opened the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, last night, May 19 at the Vineyard Theatre. The show, also directed by Rapp, began previews May 4. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night curtain call and after party.

According to Deadline.com Disney has made a million dollar pitch deal for a live action version of 'Cinderella.' The new film will be written by Aline Brosh McKenna, the screenwriter of such hit films as 'The Devil Wears Prada,' 'Laws Of Attraction' and '27 Dresses.' McKenna also penned the upcoming film 'Morning Glory' starring Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Patrick Wilson.
