Ellin is a Perth native who works as a performer, teacher, and also as an academic and researcher in the performing arts. Her passion for the arts has taken her all over the world, seeing performances on the West End and Broadway, as well as across Australia, Asia, and Europe. She supports the development of young talent and of local theatre whenever she can, and as of early 2018 will be submitting her doctoral thesis, looking at the role of dance in musical theatre.
A self-deprecating comic with a distinctive voice, Matt Storer has been making waves on the Perth comedy scene for a few years now. I was lucky enough to see him perform at TOD Talks (a send up of the famous TED Talks) during this most recent Fringeworld, where comedians delivered improvised speeches about a topic chosen at random by the audience. Storer performed admirably then, but my experience at Wuss indicates that he's also excellent with pre-prepared material as well.BWW Review: Janelle Koenig in DADDY'S GIRL at The Hellenic Club Of WA May 13, 2018
During comedy festivals it's quite common to see comedians meeting with fans and audience members after the show. But Janelle Koenig is the first one I've seen at the Perth Comedy Festival who came out BEFORE the show to have a chat.BWW Review: GET RICH OR HIGH TRYIN' at Regal Theatre May 11, 2018
Having sold out shows in Australia, Pakistan, Malaysia and Singapore, British born Rory Lowe has performed more than 300 times since he was nominated for 'Best Comedy' at last year's FRINGE WORLD. A great performer and storyteller as well as a comedian, Get Rich or High Tryin' was a laugh a minute show which routinely had the audience in stitches.BWW Review: Cameron McLaren's DARDY MCFLY at Perth Comedy Festival May 11, 2018
Not your typical comedy, The Big Thingy is quite unlike anything I've ever seen onstage before. The show sees performer Nadia Collins embody an orange, cardboard suited alien who lands on earth and must learn how to be human from her audience. Think Mr Bean if he was an alien from Classic Doctor Who, replete with a cardboard and tinfoil set and you're probably not too far off the mark.BWW Review: JOKES MAGOTES at Regal Theatre for Perth Comedy Festival May 1, 2018
In a world where reality television contestants routinely backstab their way into the spotlight, Famous Sharron's Love Match was not entirely what I was expecting. I'm not the biggest fan of reality television, and with this being my first proper introduction to Famous Sharron I was a little wary about what I was in for. I needn't have worried.BWW Review: FLAWS & ALL at The Black Flamingo, Fringe World Pleasure Garden February 21, 2018

Belfast's self-proclaimed 'circus of the absurd' returns to Perth for a string of shows as part of Fringeworld 2018. Broadway World caught up with Tina Segner, co-founder of Tumble Circus, to chat about all things UNSUITABLE.
