Eddie Varley Eddie Varley was most recently seen as one of the stars of the Lifetime Television Series, MATCHED IN MANHATTAN.

On the New York stage he was a cast member of the long running hit musical revue INTO THE WEEDS: The Bill Weeden Songbook at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Eddie received critical acclaim for his role of Jameson in the New York and Los Angeles Productions of Joe Mortimer's GRAPEFRUIT. As a cast member of the New Vic Theatre of London, he toured both the UK and US in their productions of DRACULA, HUNCHBACK and THE CANTERBURY TALES. He spent several Holiday seasons at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino's Showroom Theater headlining with performers such as the legendary Mickey Rooney, Andrea McArdle and John Byner. An accomplished illustrator, his work can be found in the recent McGraw Hill release, WHY HASN'T HE CALLED?

The New York Times reports today that 'modest construction work is expected to resume on Wednesday morning at Broadway's Hilton Theater to prepare for the new musical production 'SPIDER-MAN, Turn Off the Dark,' even though the ultimate fate of the show is still in limbo, three people involved with the production said this afternoon.'

Signature Theatre Company (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) is pleased to announce that the theatre's 20th Anniversary season in 2010-2011, celebrating author Tony Kushner, will feature the first New York revival of Kushner's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning epic work, ANGELS IN AMERICA: A GAY FANTASIA ON NATIONAL THEMES. The cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES, will continue to rock eight times a week through summer 2010. Tom Lenk joins the cast as 'Franz,' the role he originated in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions, beginning Monday, September 14, 2009 for a six month limited engagement. Mr. Lenk is best known for his portrayal as 'Andrew Wells' on television's 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' Mr. Lenk is taking over for Wesley Taylor, who will play his final performance on Sunday, September 13. Mr. Taylor is leaving to join the cast of the upcoming production of The Addams Family.

On Monday August 31, Liz Lark Brown eked out a win in the exciting finale of the second annual 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' at The Metropolitan Room, beating out Danielle Grabianowski (the first runner-up) and Carole Bufford, who was chosen as the second runner-up. Brown, who, in a sweet twist of fate, was last year's grand prize winner Anne Steele's back-up singer, combined both understated charm and a flair for the dramatic that earned consistently high marks during the eight-week jury and audience-voted singers' competition. The two other finalists, who went head to head against the three top ladies, were the competition's highest-achieving men, Cornelius Bates, and David Gurland.
