Today, Tuesday, May 25, The Kennedy Center announced that Tina Fey is the 2010 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize of American Humor. Established in 1998, the annual award is to an individual who has had an impact on American society in ways similar to 19th century novelist and essayist, Mark Twain. The ceremony, to be held Tuesday November 9, will feature a lineup of the biggest names in comedy, and will be taped for television broadcast.

Beginning June 14, Russ Abbot will reprise his previous West End role in the musical OLIVER! Abbot will once again play Fagin, the lead pickpocket. The production is currently playing at Theatre Royal in London. OLIVER! currently features WICKED alum, Kerry Ellis as Nancy Sikes, and Steven Hartley as Bill Sikes.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, Antonio Banderas has begun work on his 'Shrek' spin-off, set for release in Winter 2011. The film will follow Banderas' character, Puss in Boots, before his first appearance in 'Shrek 2'.

After the winner of the Andrew Lloyd Webber's reality show, 'Over the Rainbow' is announced on Saturday, May 22, the new Dorothy will record and release a cover of the Judy Garland song of the same title. All proceeds will benefit Prostate UK and The BBC Performing Arts Fund. The cover will be available to download Sunday, May 23 and for purchase on Monday, May 31.

According to IMDB.com, 'Sex and The City 2' star, Sarah Jessica Parker, is putting her career on hold to focus on raising her three children. Recently, Parker expressed plans to return to Broadway. Parker's first Broadway role was in the play, THE INNOCENTS, at the young age of 11. Then, in 1977, she performed in the classic musical, ANNIE.

According to the U.K. Daily Mirror, Simon Cowell will be knighted on June 12, 2010. The American Idol judge will be honored by Queen Elizabeth II at her birthday celebration. Cowell will enter into knighthood thanks to his charity work with victims of the Haiti earthquake, as well as his many contributions to the music industry.

After announcing its cancellation last week, NBC's 'Law & Order' might be picked up by cable network, TNT, according to Deadline.com. TNT already airs re-runs of the 20 season show. According to the report, 'Law & Order' creator, Dick Wolf plans to air the show's 21st season on TNT.

According to TVGuide.com, the new ABC Family Channel series, 'Melissa and Joey' will premiere on Tuesday, August 17 and 8 pm. Starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, ten episodes have been ordered for the series. 'Melissa and Joey' stars Lawrence as a nanny working for a female politician (Hart) who is forced to take care of her sister's two kids.

Newlyweds Tracey and Vivian Williams celebrated their May 10 wedding by dressing up as their favorite couple, Shrek and Princess Fiona. The Welsch couple painted their faces and bodies completely GREEN, in addition to fake ears and homemade SHREK costumes. Tracey and Vivian added the SHREK touch to the rest of the wedding party. The bride's parents dressed up as Lord Farquaad and Fairy Godmother, while the best man portrayed Monsieur Hood.

The upcoming PBS documentary, 'The Tenth Inning', will be narrated by Tony nominee, Keith David. The new two-part, four-hour documentary by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick picks up where Burns's 1994 series BASEBALL left off. The documentary will air Tuesday-Wednesday, September 28-29, 8:00-10:00 pm ET on PBS.

As part of a special issue, the newest 'HELLO Canada' features 50 of Canada's Most Beautiful People. The issue, hitting newsstands today, include GLEE stars, Jessalyn Gilsig (Terry) and Cory Monmeith (Finn). Official production photos have been released today for the upcoming 'Sex and the City 2.' Warner Bros. and New Line will release the the film in theaters on May 27, 2010. The big screen sequel reteams director-writer Michael Patrick King with his four leading ladies--Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. John Melfi will return to produce with King and Parker.

According to Deadline, Matthew Broderick's new show, 'Beach Lane', originally scheduled for NBC's Fall Season, has been cancelled. 'Perfect Couples', a show following the relationships of three couples, is slated to replace the 'Beach Lane' pilot.

ABC's hit sitcom, 'Modern Family' is known for its realistic portrayal of the average family. However, the behavior of the show's gay couple, Cameron (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Mitchell (Eric Stonestreet) exemplify the latest inconsistency to be picked up by viewers. Although the sitcom is often praised for its non-stereotypical portrayal of the gay community, viewers are starting to see just the opposite.
