Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell proudly announced the casting and creative teams for the three plays featured next season on The Shaw's Festival Theatre stage. In making the announcement, Ms. Maxwell noted: 'I am so inspired by the range of talent we've assembled to make up our 2012 Ensemble. This extraordinary group of artists will bring to life the vivid contemporary ideas of each and every playwright whose work we are proudly presenting.'

The Jackson Gallery will be filled with art and fine crafts once again for its annual juried show. The twenty regional artists represented work in a wide variety of media. All have been recognized for their individual approaches to style, design and image, making this exhibit an eclectic and colorful display.

Grammy Award-winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman returns to Central Florida to perform a program of American music with members of the Bach Festival Orchestra on November 13, 2011. Stoltzman performed to sold-out crowds during the 75th Anniversary Festival in February 2010, and the Society is pleased to bring back this tremendous artist to perform once again for Central Florida audiences.

Registration for the 2nd Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Competition in Spring of 2012 is underway! The Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation (FPACF) created this competition to showcase the St. Louis region's most talented teens in the performing arts. A change from last year's application process is that any high school student in the metro area is welcome to sign up, instead of last year's one submission per school guideline. 'This allows more students to participate this year,' said Mary Strauss, President of FPACF and event producer. Students may enter in, but are not limited to, any of the following categories: singer, dancer, actor, musician, comedian, circus arts, etc.

Los Angeles Philharmonic Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Master Chorale and soloists in the world premiere of the PROLOGUE TO ORANGO, Shostakovich's unfinished opera, at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3, at 8 p.m., as well as Sunday, December 4, at 2 p.m. The satirical opera about a half-man, half-ape, was sketched in 1932, and discovered in 2006, at Moscow's Glinka Museum by Russian musicologist Olga Digonskaya. At the request of Shostakovich's widow and Digonskaya, British composer Gerard McBurney developed the orchestration of ORANGO in 2009.

IL Volo will release a Christmas EP on November 21, in a repackaged version of the IL Volo album internationally, and as a digital EP in the U.S. Recorded in July with producers Humberto Gatica and Tony Renis, the EP will feature the group's renditions of holiday classics 'Silent Night,' 'Panis Angelicus,' 'The Christmas Song' with 'American Idol' contestant Pia Toscano, and a medley of 'Jingle Bell Rock,' 'Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow' and 'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.'
