Amanda Hodges has been a freelance writer since 1996, specialising in theatre, history & biography. As a theatre reviewer in the UK she's written for Theatre magazine as well as specialist titles like Theatre First and Total Theatre and spent many years covering drama at the Edinburgh Festival for both the Sunday Times, Scotland and the Edinburgh Evening News. She's also been a theatre assessor for the London Arts Board and has contributed to websites Whatsonstage.com and Londontheatre.co.uk as well as writing several theatrical profiles. Favourite interviews to date have been those with Charlton Heston and, latterly, with Sir John Mills, her profile of whom currently appears on the CNN website.
