Pünktchen lives with her wealthy parent, Mr. and Mrs. Pogge, the cook Berta and the nanny, Miss devotion, in a nice big apartment. Unfortunately Tiny busy parents little time for her daughter. But dot has a good friend Anton. He lives with his mother, Woman guest, in poverty. Antons mother is very ill for a long time. Therefore Anton is next to the school busy to cook and care for them - and secretly evening shoelaces for sale to supplement the family budget a little.
Tiny nanny Miss Devotion has a fiancé, Robert, who seems to be a right time crook. Again and again he demanded money from her. Pünktchen and Anton can eavesdrop in coffee as he harassed also because of a mysterious, drawn from her plan randomly.
In the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Pogge preparing for a visit to the opera. Suddenly appears Klepperbein, a shady boy who also lives in Speck's road. He betrays the Pogge, that dot is not despite the late hour in the apartment, and certainly not in bed. Under the condition that he will receive ten euros, it will cause them to her daughter.
The worried parents follow him. They soon discover dots and Miss devotion begging next to Anton in the street. Pünktchen tries her horrified parents explain that they only wanted to help Anton with the sale of matches and Miss devotion but urgently need money for her fiance.
Suddenly understands Anton: It was a drawn plan of Pogge's apartment, the Miss Devotion had passed her fiance, and now Robert is on the way to rob them. Because Anton has seen Miss Devotion has the crooks slipped a key. And the fat cook Berta is at home alone! Pünktchen manages just to warn them by phone, so that Berta can overpower the intruder. He is discharged together with the nanny by the police.
Mr. Pogge is stirred by fate Anton and his Muter. It both invites, now living in the apartment of Pogge. "We should all share," Mr. Pogge says.
