Tempests at Arts Centre Melbourne Hamer Hall

This thrilling journey through musical tempests – of the man-made kind (as in Britten’s song cycle Our Hunting Fathers) or the or the kind that cause shipwrecks (as in Tchaikovsky’s tone poem or the scenes from Thomas Adès’ opera) – culminates in Adès’ groundbreaking Tevot, a Hebrew word meaning “arks.”
