AN IDEAL HUSBAND Season Extended at Melbourne Theatre Company Due to popular demand, Melbourne Theatre Company's season of An Ideal Husband has been extended until Wednesday 22 August, with three new performances added.

Featuring a raft of stage luminaries including Simon Gleeson (Hay Fever), Brent Hill (Little Shop of Horrors), Michelle Lim Davidson (Utopia), William McInnes (The Time of our Lives), Zindzi Okenyo (Antony & Cleopatra), Josh Price (Going Down), Gina Riley (Kath & Kim), Greta Sherriff (Oklahoma!) and Christie Whelan Browne (Muriel's Wedding The Musical), along with newcomers Jem Lai and Joseph Lai, An Ideal Husband has enchanted audiences since it opened on July 20, with tickets in high demand for the remaining season.

Directed by MTC Associate Director Dean Bryant, this lavish production of Oscar Wilde's classic play is brought to life by Dale Ferguson's striking period costumes and inspired set design.

MTC Artistic Director Brett Sheehy said, 'The response to An Ideal Husband since opening last week has confirmed that Oscar Wilde's wit and understanding of the human condition will never go out of style. Dean Bryant and his exceptional cast's deft handling of the Wildean language is truly a joy to behold, and we are delighted to give even more people the chance to experience An Ideal Husband through these additional performances.'

An Ideal Husband plays at Arts Centre Melbourne, Playhouse until Wednesday 22 August.
