ZACH Theatre announces the return of Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch, the new musical by Emmy Award-winning Allen Robertson, based on the beloved children's book by Eileen Spinelli. Part of the ZACH360 experience, Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch plays April 29–May 22, 2022 on The Kleberg at ZACH under the direction of creator Allen Robertson.
Three productions include the ZACH360 experience, ZACH's new artistic initiative to create dynamic theatre experiences that are immersive, revelatory, and fun. Actors engage the audience in the storytelling, as ZACH takes a fresh approach to familiar work.
Due to continued uncertainty around COVID-19 and limits on large group gatherings, ZACH Theatre has postponed their re-imagined, interactive production of The Sound of Music, the final show of the 2019-20 Season. The Sound of Music, which was scheduled to begin July 15, will move to the summer slot of the 2020-21 Season.

ZACH Theatre announces additional cancellations and staffing changes in wake of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. With the loss of multiple shows this season, ZACH Theatre is forced to furlough 75% of employees to temper the loss in revenue. Furloughed employees will continue to receive 100% of their current health benefits from the organization. Remaining staff will work on reduced salaries with leadership taking the largest cut, preparing for the return of programming this summer and producing virtual content to connect with the community until performances resume.

Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan, with Jonny Donahoe will make its regional premiere at The Whisenhunt at ZACH, February 5-March 29, 2020 starring Kriston Woodreaux. ZACH Moody Foundation Family Series will bring a world premiere musical by the Emmy Award-winning Allen Robertson, Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch playing February 29-April 11, 2020 at The Whisenhunt at ZACH.

Hedwig returns to Texas in the Austin debut of the 2014 Tony Award-winning incarnation of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's Hedwig and the Angry Inch playing The Topfer at ZACH running January 23-March 3, 2019 with a new "Pay-What-You-Will" program to begin with this production. In collaboration with University of Texas at Austin's Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities (DTYC) MFA Program, This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing will now join the season lineup running January 13, 19, 20, and 26, 2019 in The Whisenhunt at ZACH, performed and devised by the ensemble. Allen Robertson's smash-hit musical for all ages, Tortoise and Hare will close in The Kleberg at ZACH on January 27.
