Come Hungry is a narrative-driven, multi-sensory immersive fashion production by Austin Tea Party, inspired by the Allegory of the Long Spoons and exploring themes of human connection, isolation, scarcity, and collective abundance. Through a queer, contemporary lens, the performance guides audiences through five distinct stages of the human condition, incorporating live fashion performances from local designers, contemporary dance, experimental music, and spoken-word poetry. A multi-course staged food experience is woven directly into the storyline, with guests fed in stages as the narrative progresses. The production is made possible by a network of over 70 local creatives including designers, models, dancers, chefs, and non-profit partners.
