Salvage Vanguard Theater to Present YOU'RE THE BOSS! Camp, 1/6-2/10
Salvage Vanguard Theater has announced You're The Boss!, a playmaking workshop.
You're The Boss is an educational program that nurtures the student's creative voice while building teamwork, confidence, and communication skills. Students ages 9 -14 years old will collaborate to create their own story, characters, and worlds in this playmaking workshop for youth. In SVT's You're The Boss students will work on all aspects of making a play, they will be the playwrights, directors, designers and actors. The six-week course will culminate in a performance for family and friends.
Camp will take place at the Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 E Manor Rd. 78722, in the Studio space.
Camp runs January 6th- February 10th
Monday evenings from 4:30- 6:30pm.
Camp will be lead by SVT artistic director Jenny Larson.

Salvage Vanguard Theater launched the first of their many educational programs in the late 90s, ARTReach, a program that makes SVT programming available for teens. In 2008 SVT launched SVTKids and SVTeen. Jenny Larson has taught theater arts with Kids Acting, Zach Scott, and the Dougherty Arts Center. She has also directed kids productions at Southwestern University and Austin Scottish Rite. Jenny has been the artistic director of Salvage Vanguard Theater since 2008 and is an actor, director, educator, and producer of the theater arts.
