Long Center Receives Accessibility Award

Austin's Creative Home can now add another title to its impressive resume; Austin Access Award winner. The Long Center recently received the prestigious honor from Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell. The award recognizes local businesses for accessibility and welcoming attitudes towards those with disabilities. The Long Center will be recognized publicly on Tuesday, October 28th, by the Austin Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities.

"The Long Center must be accessible to all members of this community, including those with disabilities," said Jamie Grant, President & CEO of the Long Center. "We take accessibility very seriously, and we are so proud to be recognized as industry leaders in this area."

The Access Award is given annually to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Winners are recognized for "not only meeting the accessibility requirements of the ADA, but going above and beyond when providing goods and services to people with disabilities."

"Any business in a diverse economy understands the key to their success includes having a fully accessible location and delivering excellent service to address the individual needs of every customer with or without a disability," Mayor Lee Leffingwell said.
