The Hill Country Community Theatre is casting the fourth show of their 2018-19 season, "Doublewide Texas" written Jessi Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Auditions are Monday, February 25 andTuesday, February 26 at 7:00 PM at the theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657. Sides from the script will be provided at the audition for cold readings. The show will be directed by Kay Wendy Ferrell.

The roles are: Big Ethel Satterwhite - 60s, Georgia Dean Rudd - 40s, Lark Barken - 20s, Norwayne "Baby" Crumpler - 40s, Haywood Sloggett - 70s, Joveeta Crumpler - 40s, Caprice Crumpler - mis-to-late 70s, Lomax Tanner - 40s, and Starla Pudney - 40s.

The inhabitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas-four doublewides and a shed-are thrown for a loop when The Town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them. Friends, enemies, and neighbors realize they'll have to work together to defeat the encroaching annexation if they-and their way of life-have a snowball's chance to survive being swallowed up by "the big guys.

Rehearsals will begin March 4 and will be on most weekday evenings, and some weekends as the opening of the show approaches. Production dates are for three weeks, April 25 through May 12, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Sunday matinees at 2:15 PM.
