Jamie has run away from home, and run out of money. He finds himself in a town chaotic with Christmas prep and a chicken pox outbreak. The town's odd array of residents, including a lost cat and a Christmas pig, are dubbed by Jamie as "nuttier than fruitcakes". But he starts to appreciate them in this warm holiday tale of alienation and reconciliation
