Video: Alliance Theatre Shares First Rehearsal Footage For LIKE FATHER

The Alliance Theatre has posted a new video capturing the first day of rehearsal for LIKE FATHER, offering an early glimpse into the world premiere musical before it opens this fall. The clip frames the moment with a playful nod to the show's dark subject matter, noting the first day is already 'looking bloody good.'
LIKE FATHER is described as a bold new folk-pop musical about legacy, identity, and family, centered on what happens when a true-crime podcast turns a family's darkest history into public obsession. The story has been developed through a series of behind-the-scenes videos and singles released ahead of the premiere, including tracks featuring performers such as Eleri Ward, Luke Islam, Brittney Mack, and Keaton Whittaker.
The production is set to run on the Alliance Theatre's Hertz Stage from October 8 through November 15, 2026, marking its world premiere in Atlanta. The rehearsal footage follows the theatre's earlier documentary series tracking the musical's development.
The Alliance Theatre previously shared the first installment of a development documentary chronicling the musical's creation, and the theatre has also announced the cast for the production ahead of its run.
