THE BEST OF ENEMIES to Open 2/1 at Theatrical Outfit

By:

Theatrical Outfit announces Opening Night of The Best of Enemies by Mark St. Germain, directed by Mira Hirsch, and featuring Elisabeth Omilami. The Best of Enemies is a based on a true story and is a modern-day parable of transformation, triumph and hope. The show opens on Saturday, February 1, 7:30 curtain; preview performances are January 29, 30 and 31. The show closes on February 23.

Tickets are on sale now at the box office, by phone (877-725-8849), and online at www.theatricaloutfit.org. Ticket prices range from $20 to $35, with senior and student discounts available. Opening night is $50 and includes a post-show reception with cast and crew. Theatrical Outfit is located at 84 Luckie Street NW, Atlanta, GA, 30303.

*STREET CAR CONSTRUCTION: The best route to the theatre avoiding streetcar construction is to take Marietta Street to Cone Street. Turn on Cone (there's only one way to turn onto Cone, regardless of the direction from whence you came). We suggest parking at LAZ Parking deck on the corner of Cone and Luckie Streets via the Cone Street entrance. Parking vouchers to that LAZ deck are available for purchase at the box office for $4 cash. To avoid all issues... take MARTA! Peachtree Center Station is closest, Five Points is next closest.

ABOUT THE BEST OF ENEMIES: Inspired by Osha Gray Davidson's book of the same name and based on a true story, Mark St. Germain's new drama, The Best of Enemies reveals a universal truth: all of us, no matter our differences, are capable of change. It is a story of triumph and hope, and a real life example of love's winning over fear.

Elisabeth Omilami is Ann Atwater, a fearless, grass-roots civil rights activist. Bruce Evers is C.P. Ellis, an outspoken exalted cyclops of a klan chapter. The two meet when Bill Riddick, a federal mediator played by Enoch King, is sent by the Department of Education to oversee court-ordered desegregation. Riddick is charged with putting together a steering committee that represents the community's various viewpoints: C.P. and Ann agree to serve on the committee. LaLa Cochran portrays Mary Ellis, C.P.'s wife. Amidst their incendiary words of prejudice and fear, Ann and C.P. forge an alliance based in respect and trust - and score a victory for civil rights - in this honest-to-goodness, modern-day parable of transformation.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $35, with senior and student discounts available. Opening night is $50 and includes a post-show reception with cast and crew. Tickets start at $20 and are available online at the box office, by phone (877-725-8849), and online at www.theatricaloutfit.org.
