Photo Flash: Serenbe Playhouse's THE SLEEPY HOLLOW EXPERIENCE Begins Tonight

By:

Fresh off of the heels of their most successful summer to date including OKLAHOMA!, the most Suzi Bass nominated production of the year, Atlanta's newest Halloween tradition, The Sleepy Hollow Experience, returns after a sold out run last season! Join Serenbe Playhouse in the Serenbe Stables for this classic spooky story with all the thrills, chills and laughs that keep you on the edge of your seat. The storybook tale revolves around the bumbling, awkward schoolteacher, Ichabod Crane, the coquettish Katrina, and Ichabod's brutish rival, Brom Bones. In this innovative experiential adaptation, you will find yourself guided by roving minstrel storytellers, while the Headless Horseman rushes about on live horseback! Keep your wits about you or you might be his next victim! Scroll down for some atmosphere-setting promo photos!

"What started out as a whim of a fall show last year," says Founder and Executive/Artistic Director Brian Clowdus, "has become our hottest selling ticket to date! The Sleepy Hollow Experience came to fruition after the success of last year's HAIR when the idea of a fall show was tossed around to keep momentum as we began to transition from summer into year round programming. When tickets started selling like hot cakes, I thought oh bless I have to make sure this is a good one, and it's still to this date one of my proudest Playhouse adaptations! We sold out prior to opening and added late night shows selling out quickly as well, and this year has already seen our largest pre-sales to date. Yes this is a revival of last year's production but this year promises to be even spookier and more spectacular than ever... a lot of thanks to the recent filming of 'Insurgent' in Serenbe as The Stables have been tricked out and I feel we have an even more amazing environment as a backdrop for The Sleepy Hollow Experience!"

Returning as Ichabod Crane and his love Katrina Van Tassel are Chris Mayers and Jessica Miesel (2014 Suzi Award Nommine for Oklahoma!). Joining in on the maddness is former Auburn Football star Blake Burgess as the burly villian Brom Bones. Leading you through Ichabod's tale returning Storyteller Laura Floyd Wood is joined by newcomer Robert Lee Hindsman. Brian Clowdus returns as director with original sound design by Bobby Johnston and Jevares C. Myrick, lighting design by Mike Morin, and assistant directon from Ryan Oliveti.

Show dates and times for The Sleepy Hollow Experience are Thursdays - Sundays, today, October 9th through November 1st at 8pm with Late Night performances Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30pm. Tickets are $20. The Sleepy Hollow Experience will be performed at The Stables at Serenbe.
