The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta (ECMSA) announces its 2012-2013 season. Celebrating its twentieth year, Atlanta's largest chamber music organization presents weekend concerts, a family series, and noontime performances. In honor of the anniversary season, all ECMSA shows will be free with donations accepted at the door.

The season includes:

The internationally-renowned Eroica Trio launches the ECMSA Emerson Series on Sept. 22 at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Together with the Vega String Quartet, the ensembles perform "A Night at the Opera-Without the Singers!" The program also features a gala reception and a special appearance by Franz Liszt.

The award-winning Vega String Quartet returns for several concerts, and premieres work by Czech composer Jan Jirasek on Nov. 9 and Emory University Symphony Orchestra Director and composer Richard Prior on May 5.

Several special guests are featured this year. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey reads from her work in between songs by tenor Bradley Howard in a noontime concert on Jan. 18. Violinist Timothy Fain, seen on screen and heard on The BLACK SWAN soundtrack, makes his Atlanta debut during Vivald's Four Seasons concert on May 5.

A new concert this year is "Jazz Meets Classics-Dueling Pianists!" on March 2. Jazz master Gary Motley and classical whiz Elena Cholakova trade musical punches and feature a new work by Motley.

Family fun is back with themed chamber concerts at the Carlos Museum. Programs include the "Pajama Concert," "Beethoven in Blue Jeans," Santa's Favorite Chamber Music," and the popular "Chinese New Year Celebration."

All performances are free and on the Emory University campus. The complete season and event details are at http://arts.emory.edu/ecmsa.
