Capitol City Opera Company's (CCOC) Opera Outreach for Children will present A Seussome Twosome, an engaging introduction to opera based on Dr. Seuss's classic stories Gertrude McFuzz and Green Eggs and Ham on Saturday, May 21 at 11:00a.m. at Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University. Tickets are $10.00 and available online at CCITYOPERA.org.

With bright costumes, zany characters, and using the exact prose written by Theodor Geisel, A Seussome Twosome is an excellent and easy to understand introduction to the world of the performing arts. The classic Dr. Seuss characters, Gertrude McFuzz and Sam-I-Am, will show the importance of keeping an open mind - even towards green food! Extensive audience interaction keeps young ones engaged and interested.

Using the poetry of Dr. Seuss's Gertrude McFuzz and Green Eggs and Ham, this twosome is an easy to understand, engaging introduction to opera. Gertrude McFuzz and Sam I Am show students the importance of self-acceptance and keeping an open mind---even if the food is green! The lively pace ensures a delightful educational experience.
