CALENDAR GIRLS Becomes Fastest Selling Play in GET History

By:
Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, is launching its exciting 2015-2016 season with the highly anticipated play, CALENDAR GIRLS by Tim Firth.

An international smash hit, CALENDAR GIRLS was the fastest selling play in the history of London's West End. And it seems that in this case, what happened across The Pond is happening all over again with GET's Southeastern premiere of this hilarious and heart-warming play.

Based on the motion picture of the same name, GET was the first U.S. theatre granted the rights to produce this hit, and the phones haven't stopped ringing since the announcement was made of its debut on our stage.

According to Co-Founder and Artistic Director Robert Farley, "There is no longer any question that Georgians have discovered our upcoming Southeastern Premiere of this funny, moving and empowering story. There is little time remaining before CALENDAR GIRLS opens on September 10th and we have already attained 90% of our ticket sales goal for the performances through October 4th. The seats which patrons have bought to date represent the largest advance ticket sales in the history of GET's 23 seasons performing at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center."

In fact, due to audience demand, an additional week has already been added to the run of the show. Best pricing is available with advance ticket purchases, and some performances are already very full. Early reservations are encouraged by visiting www.get.org or calling 770-641-1260.

Ticket prices for CALENDAR GIRLS start at $30 for Wednesdays, Thursdays and matinees; Friday nights start from $37, and Saturday nights start from $40. Book early for best prices. (Senior/Student discounts available for select performances). Georgia Ensemble Theatre is located at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA 30075.

The Georgia Ensemble Theatre and Conservatory provides quality theatre productions and arts education to the north metro Atlanta area. The Company annually produces five mainstage productions, attended by more than 30,000 patrons, as well as three Theatre for Youth productions and year-round classes for all ages.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre's 23rd (current) season includes CALENDAR GIRLS (Sept.10-Oct. 4, 2015), Romeo & Juliet (Nov.15-22, 2015), Charley's Aunt (Jan.6-24, 2016), Southeast Premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher (Feb.25-Mar. 13, 2016), and Yesterday & Today: the Interactive Beatles Experience (April 7-24, 2016).
