The Off-Broadway Cast Recording of last summer’s hit York Theatre/Jim Kierstead production of THRILL ME: THE LEOPOLD & LOEB STORY with book, music & lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff, is now exclusively available at www.thrillmethemusical.com (for immediate shipment) on the OC Records Label, and will be released officially to retail outlets on April 4, 2006.

One of the first productions of the 2005-2006 season, THRILL ME, the chilling tale of the two legendary “thrill-killers,” began performances at the York Theatre Company on May 16, 2005 for a limited run, and was extended three times due to popular demand, closing on August 21st, 2005.

The New York Times said of the show "Stephen Dolginoff's pocket musical lands like a well-placed punch, arresting and a bit breathtaking. Others have told the tale in plays and films, but there is something brazenly satisfying about Mr. Dolginoff's rendition. It’s a reminder that evil often looks and sounds beautiful. Credit the lean approach to the storytelling.” Rex Reed in the NY Observer said “Keeps you wanting more!” Jacques le Sourd, of Gannet Newspapers called it “A soaringly intense, propulsively melodic musical. Chillingly well-told, in all of its dark complexity,” and the Star Ledger weighed in with “Dangerously attractive! Dolginoff is a smart craftsman with a knack for forging arresting tunes. The robust score is feverishly crafted.”

Jim Kierstead, producer of the original production and the new CD says he is “thrilled to be able to present the entire score along with key sections of dialogue for the first time. After several productions around the world, this recording captures the definitive version of the show.” THRILL ME features musical direction and accompaniment by Eugene Gwozdz, and stars Doug Kreeger as Richard Loeb and Stephen Dolginoff as Nathan Leopold, who played the roles for the majority of the York run. UPI’s review said of their pairing “Dolginoff and Kreeger are perfectly cast … both are actors of emotional intensity, unafraid to depict scenes of uncompromising passion.”

The CD of THRILL ME: THE LEOPOLD & LOEB STORY is not the only documentation of the show available to the public. The script is now published by Dramatists Play Service (www.dramatists.com), the company which licenses the property to theatres across the country.

In addition to New York City, productions of THRILL ME have already taken place in Boston, Chicago, Orlando and Melbourne, Australia. 2006-2007 will see stagings in Dallas, TX; Buffalo, NY; Sydney, Australia; St. Petersburg, FL; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; Richmond VA and Seoul, South Korea.

The Boston Production of THRILL ME, which ran in January of 2005, was recently nominated for 4 Independent Reviews of New England (“IRNE”) Awards including “Best Musical Production.”

THRILL ME is now available at www.thrillmethemusical.com and will be available in retail and other online outlets on the Original Cast Records label starting April 4th 2006.
