Winter Jam NYC Brings Snow Festival to Central Park, 2/6

Winter Jam NYC brings winter fun back to Central Park with a Lake Placid snowfield for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Partners at Olympic Regional Development Authority will be blowing snow for a week leading up to the event to create a winter wonderland. Guests can bring along a snowboard and preregister online for the Switch Academy Rail Jam, hosted by Red Bull-endorsed snowboarder Pat Moore, and compete for prizes. The world premiere of Shaun White's Olympic training documentary Red Bull Project X will also be feautured at the event. Guests will be able to learn to ski with Head Skis, or snowboard with the Chill Foundation. Winter Jam NYC takes place February 6th from 11am-4pm.

Winter Jam NYC will feature acrobatic performances from the high flying Skyriders.  The Pride of New York Winter Market will be featuring refreshments provided by local producers.  Guests can visit favorite winter sports vendors and enjoy plenty of activities for all ages, including the New York Rangers Road Tour, featuring the Inflatable Slap Shot Booth and Bounce House.

This event is presented by NYC Parks & Recreation, ORDA, Lake Placid, New York Post, Mountain Creek Ski Resort, Switch Academy, Gore Mountain, Gear to Go Outfitters, New York Rangers, I Ski NY, 101.9 WQXR, Pride of New York, Red Bull's Project X, and Iloveny.com.
