BroadwayWorld.com has learned from production sources that actors Will Chase and Eden Espinosa will be joining what is to become the final Broadway cast of the hit musical 'Rent'.

Will Chase will be joining the cast as Roger starting next week. Ms. Espinsoa will join on as Maureen starting May 30th.

Will Chase, a three-time Chicago area Joseph Jefferson Award nominee, has previously played Roger Davis in Rent.  Chase has starred on Broadway in High Fidelity, Lennon, The Full Monty, Aida and Miss Saigon. He recently appeared in Signature Theater's 'Kiss of the Spider Woman'

Eden Espinosa is best known to theater audiences for her critically acclaimed performance as Elphaba in both the Broadway and Los Angeles productions of Wicked. She also played the title role in the Broadway musical Brooklyn.

Rent, written by Jonathan Larson and directed by Michael Greif, opened at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996 following a history making, sold out, extended limited engagement at off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop.  The musical went on to win every major best musical award, including the Tony Award, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Drama Desk Award, and the Outer Critics Circle Award.  Additionally, Rent is one of only seven musicals to win the Pulitzer Prize for drama.  In all Rent won four Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards, two Theatre World Awards, and Obie Awards for its creator, director, and entire cast.

The musical is set to make its final performance on Sunday, September 7th, 2008.
