Nobel Peace Prize Winner Elie Wiesel's play The Trial of God will see its New York City Premiere March 31 at Makor. The play, set in a medieval European village, follows three traveling Jewish actors on trial to answer for God's silence during a pogrom. Directed by Guila Clara Kessous and featuring music by Klezmer musicians from KlezMITron, as well as traditional dancers from the Kalaniot Dance Troupe, the show deals with faith issues in Jews' relationship with God.

Holocaust Survivor Wiesel famously documented his experiences in his memoir Night, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. He is regarded as one of the most prominent writers in Jewish Literature.

Makor is at 35 W. 67th St. Tickets are $20, and available by calling (212) 601-1000 or by visiting www.makor.org.
