When The Lights Go On Again, a new musical celebrating the music of the 1940s and World War II, has been extended for 7 weeks beginning on Saturday, January 13th (2PM) at the Triad Theatre (158 West 72nd Street, between Broadway & Columbus Avenue). Written and staged by Bill Daugherty, the musical is produced by Thoroughbred Records and Max Weintraub. A new press opening is scheduled for Saturday, January 20th at 2PM.  Performances will run through February 24th.

"Set during a live WNEW radio broadcast from the ballroom of the Roosevelt Hotel, When The Lights Go On Again follows The Moonlighters, an up and coming singing group trying to land a job with the legendary Glenn Miller band. Told through 28 hit songs from the 1940's, the musical paints the emotions of a country supporting its combat efforts and the sacrifices that war can bring," according to press materials.

When The Lights Go On Again features 4-time MAC Award-winner Daugherty (Damn Yankees), Paul Kropfl (Splitting Infinity, The Chosen), Christina Morrell (The Classics Professor, "Broadway Our Way") and Bistro Award-winner Connie Pachl/> ("Broadway Our Way"). Doyle Newmyer serves as musical director with Jim Conant on guitar. Three members of this creative team worked on last season's revue "Broadway Our Way," which played for nearly six months.

When The Lights Go On Again will play Friday's at 7PM and Saturday's at 2PM beginning January 13th through February 24th at The Triad Theatre (158 West 72nd Street ~ between Broadway & Columbus Avenue).  Tickets are $30 with a 2 drink minimum.
