The Westchester Broadway Theatre will present the drawer-dropping musical The Full Monty from September 7th through November 19th, with an opening night set for September 14th. It will also run from December 28th through January 20th, 2007.

The show, with music and lyrics by Dave Yazbek (The Full Monty) and a book by Terrence McNally (Ragtime, Master Class), is based on the motion picture released by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The show "is a heart warming story about a group of unemployed, out-of-shape, steel mill worker friends from Buffalo New York, who are unable to find any work. Seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their so called 'girls' night out,' and needing to earn money to support their families, the guys come up with a bold way to earn some quick cash. You can't help but cheer for these 'Average Joes' as they fight to get their lives back together by devising a desperate plan - but can they pull it off? In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun," state WBT notes.

The production is choreographed and directed by Richard Stafford (Cats at WBT).  The associate director is Jonathan Stahl, and the production features musical supervision by Ken Lundie, musical direction by John Daniels, costume design by Mathew Hemesath, set design by George Puello and Steve Loftus, lighting design by Andrew Gmoser, and sound design by Jon Hatton.
