Wayside Theater Holds Student Playwrighting Fest With Staged Reading 5/4
The Wayside Theatre's Student 2009 Playwriting Festival is Monday, May 4 at Wayside Theatre, Middletown, VA "Come Along My Dear, Come Along" a Staged Reading styled performance is on the mainstage at 7:00 PM and the admission is Free to the public, with a "Talk Back" with the author, Noah Scheibmeir at the conclusion of the performance. The Playwrighting Festival is sponsored by First Bank, BB & T Bank and Virginia Commission for the Arts.
Noah Scheibmeir, a student at Skyline High School and lives in Front Royal, won First Place in the 2009 Playwrighting Festival for area students in our region's public, private or home schools. Noah receives a staged-reading performance, receives the T Carter Fussell 2009 Outstanding Playwright Award, a Savings Bond from First Bank and tickets to a show in the 2009-2010 Season. Noah is working with dramaturg, Thomasin Savaiano, who will direct and cast his production with a combined cast of adults and children for the 2009 Playwright's Festival Staged-reading on Monday, May 4th.
