'Walmartopia' Postpones First Preview to 8/23

The first two preview performances of Walmartopia, the up-coming off-Broadway "musical with a mission," have been postponed.  Performances are now set for Thursday, August 23 at 8PM at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, New York City).

Opening Night, set for Labor Day Monday, September 3 at 7PM remains unchanged.

"Walmartopia, the irreverent agitprop satire of big business (and, in particular, that corporate giant associated with the eternal smiley face) is written by Catherine Capellaro (book) and Vermont native Andrew Rohn (music & lyrics)," state press notes, "Directed by Daniel Goldstein, with choreography by Wendy Seyb and musical direction by August Eriksmoen, was a sensation of the 2006 New York International Fringe Festival."

Ticket refunds for postponed performances may be obtained by calling Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100, Theatre Development Fund at 212-221-0885 or by visiting the Minetta Lane Theatre Box Office.
