And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Gene Wilder, who turns 81 today!

Wilder last starred on Broadway in Luv in 1964, as well as The White House, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Mother Courage and Her Children and The Complaisant Lover. The stage adaptation of Young Frankenstein is based on his original story and screenplay. Among Wilder's many films are the TV movie version of Death of a Salesman, Bonnie and Clyde, The Producers, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Rhinoceros, Blazing Saddles, The Little Prince, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, The Frisco Kid, Hanky Panky, Funny About Love, and the TV series Something Wilder, which aired in the mid-'90s.
