Merediz was nominated for a Tony Award in 2008 for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of 'Abuela Claudia' IN THE HEIGHTS. Among her other Broadway credits are RECKLESS, MAN OF LA MANCHA, MAMMA MIA!, LES MISERABLES and THE HUMAN COMEDY. She has also taken the stage off-Broadway in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, EL GRANDE DE COCA-COLA, LIFE IS NOT A DORIS DAY MOVIE, LULLABYE AND GOODNIGHT and EL BRAVO! Merediz also starred opposite Kathleen Turner in THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE at Long Wharf Theatre. The actress recently appeared on TV in SAINT GEORGE, Netflix's ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK and NBC's SHADES OF BLUE.
