When Kyle finds himself heartbroken and rabidly approaching thirty with little to show for it, he knows there's only one thing a man can do: have a complete nervous breakdown. When he isn't reliving scenes from his lost relationship using only sock puppets, Kyle learns the finer points of rebounding from his perpetually immature best buddy, Jase. Kyle's roommate Cooper could be the key to his recovery, but she's facing a crisis of her own. From the Playwright of "Straight Jacket & Tie," comes a comedy about getting older, getting over a broken heart, and getting over the fact that oldies radio stations started playing "The Eurythmics".
Playwright AARON GINSBURG lives in Los Angeles where he is the founder and co-artistic director of Meadows Basement, a lovably irreverent theater company recently named by LA Weekly as one of "LA's best ensembles." His play, STRAIGHT JACKET & TIE, received its world premiere at Kitchen Dog Theater and subsequently won the Dallas Critics' Forum Award for Best New Play. STRAIGHT JACKET & TIE went on to have its off-off Broadway premiere with Vital Theatre to rave reviews. His follow up, "REBOUND & GAGGED," premiered as part of Kitchen Dog Theater's 10th Anniversary Season and was nominated for a Leon Rabin Award for Best New Play. He writes regularly with his long time collaborator, Wade McIntyre, and together they consistently produce for MTV, and have just finished writing CALL OF DUTY 2: BIG RED ONE -- a new WWII videogame for Activision. Their short film, A NINJA PAYS HALF MY RENT, premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. Watch the short at Aaron's new website: everyotherletter.com.
