Video: Inside Rehearsals for TWENTY THOUSAND STREETS UNDER THE SKY at Southwark Playhouse

Southwark Playhouse has posted a rehearsal video giving audiences a first look inside the room for TWENTY THOUSAND STREETS UNDER THE SKY, ahead of its run from 10 September to 17 October. The footage features members of the company speaking about what drew them to the project, an adaptation the venue describes as both darkly funny and devastating.
The production is based on Patrick Hamilton's classic novel, following three lonely Londoners searching for connection amid the sprawling streets of 1920s London. The video captures the company discussing the world of the piece as rehearsals get underway.
Directed by Matthew Iliffe, whose previous credits include 'Bacon', the show is presented by Troupe, the company behind 'The Forsyte Saga Parts 1 and 2'. It marks the world premiere of the stage adaptation at Southwark Playhouse.
Casting for the production was previously confirmed in a report on the full cast set for TWENTY THOUSAND STREETS UNDER THE SKY, which detailed the ensemble now seen preparing for the run in this new rehearsal footage. The video was shot by Molly Osborne.
