Maybe Happy Ending might be Darren Criss' fourth Broadway show, but it's the first new musical that he has appeared in and the first role that he has ever created for Broadway. It's a thrill that's not lost on him...
"It's a funny thing getting to originate a role because I have carte blanche to do whatever! I don't envy my many colleagues who are doing a version of a thing that was known before, whether or not they were familiar with whoever did it before," he told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. "I've been given a miraculous free dance card to do my own thing, for better or for worse."
