54 Below shared a performance clip from its archives to mark the anniversary of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES opening on Broadway in 1983, featuring Cheyenne Jackson delivering the show's best-known number, "I Am What I Am," from the venue's stage.
"I Am What I Am" has long stood as one of the musical's most recognizable songs and has become a staple of cabaret and concert programming well beyond the show's Broadway runs, frequently performed as a standalone piece by singers with ties to the production or the wider Broadway community.
