Ben Vereen and Daphne Rubin-Vega will be featured in the midseason finale of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" on December 13.

The episode is entitled "Senseless," featuring performances by Chris Noth (Det. Mike Logan) and Alicia Witt (Det. Nola Falacci), who become emotionally involved in the pain of a disenfranchised community that must confront pointless murders.

"Co-starring Ben Vereen (as Rev. Jeremiah Morris), Daphne Rubin-Vega (as Carmen Mendoza) and Jesse Garcia (as Felix Aguilar) it's a ripped from the headlines story about a four African-American college freshmen, who pulling themselves out of the ghetto and into college, are senselessly shot on a playground in a racially charged case," explain press notes.

Original episodes of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" air Thursday evenings at 10PM (EST/PST).
