Following in George Balanchine dance steps, Benjamin Millepied is creating a ballet in collaboration with Place Vendôme jeweler and watch maker Van Cleef & Arpels.

The dancer and choreographer (married to actress Natalie Portman), will stage "Reflections" with his collective, L.A Dance Project, from May 23 to 25 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Van Cleef & Arpels reports WWD.

The sets and costumes will be designed by Artist Barbara Kruger and composer David Lang will create the music.

Van Cleef & Arpels has long been linked to the world of ballet with its Ballerina brooches, first launched in the 1940's. Then, in 1967, Balanchine created "Jewels," a ballet inspired by emeralds, rubies and diamonds, after meeting with Claude Arpels.
