Broadway audiences first got a taste of Shoshana Bean's powerful bluesy vocals when she debuted as one of the "nicest kids in town" in the original cast of HAIRSPRAY. She also understudied eventual Tony-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur's Tracy Turnblad before transferring to WICKED to standby for another Tony-winner, Idina Menzel. As Menzel's replacement, she played Elphaba on Broadway for a year.

Since then, the versatile Bean has made a career bouncing between musical theatre, concerts and recordings.

In June she'll be starring as Fanny Brice in North Shore Music Theatre's production of FUNNY GIRL, but recently she's been touring Europe with Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), a rotating music collective formed by arranger and pianist Scott Bradlee. PMJ is known for reworking popular modern music into different genres, especially early 20th century forms such as swing and jazz. After astounding Internet popularity, what started as a small group of friends making music in a basement in Queens has gone on to feature 70 different performers and tour four continents.

In this brand new PMJ video, Bean does a stunning job with Demi Lovato's recent hit, "Stone Cold."
