Tovah Feldshuh To Appear in NYMF's R.R.R.E.D

Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh will make the celebrity guest cameo in the NYMF's R.R.E.D.: A SECRET MUSICAL during the 1pm and 11pm performances R.R.R.E.D. is performing at the 45th Street Theater. She will sing a song written specifically for her.

R.R.E.D. features music and lyrics by Katie Thompson, with book by Adam Jackman, Patrick Livingston and Thompson.  The musical is based on a true study that predicts that the recessive gene causing red hair will cease to exist by the year 2100. Now, in the year 2009, an underground red-headed revolutionary group is fighting back against their pending extinction and for the rights of red-heads across the globe.

The cast includes Nathan Balser, Kathy Deitch and co-authors Livingston and Thompson. The creative team consists of Charlie Corcoran (sets), Herrick Goldman, (lighting), David Mendizabal (costumes), Megan Henniger (sound), and luckydave (projections).

Feldshuh made her Broadway debut in the short-lived 1973 musical Cyrano starring Christopher Plummer. She appeared in the title role in Yentl both off Broadway at the Chelsea Theater Center and later on Broadway.  Additional Broadway credits include Saravà, Lend Me a Tenor, and Golda's Balcony. The latter, William Gibson's work about the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, set a record as the longest-running one-woman play in Broadway history on January 2, 2005.
