The national touring company of EVITA collected over $30,000.00 for the American Red Cross in two short weeks of fundraising following Hurricane Katrina. The patrons and community of Cincinnati came through with over $29,000, and the company (cast, crew, orchestra, local dressers, local crew) along with Hamburger Mary's in Cincinnati raised the remaining sum to send the total over $30,000. The company will present cashier's checks (provided by Fifth Third Bank of Cincinnati) to the Houston Chapter of the American Red Cross this week.

Houston is the next stop on tour for the EVITA company, where many cast members plan to volunteer in various areas of need.

The EVITA company would like to thank the Aronoff Center, Fifth Third Bank, Hamburger Mary's, and their patrons who gave so generously to help them reach their goal of $30,000.
